●The MAX5500BGAP+ from Maxim Integrated Products is a low power, quad, 12bit voltage output DAC with serial interface in 20 pin SSOP package. It integrates 4 low power, 12bit DACs and 4 precision output amplifiers. Each negative input of four precision amplifiers is externally accessible providing flexibility in gain configurations, remote sensing and high output drive capacity, making MAX5500 ideal for industrial process control applications. Other features include user-programmable logic output and a serial data output. A 16bit serial word loads data into each input register. The serial interface is compatible with SPI/QSPI/ MICROWIRE. The serial interface allows input and DAC registers to be updated independently or simultaneously with a single software command. The 3-wire interface simultaneously updates the DAC registers. It is used in automatic test equipment, µP controlled systems, motion control, digital offset and gain adjustment, remote industrial controls.
