MAX705CSA+T Function Overview

The MAX705CSA+T is a low cost microprocessor (µP) supervisory circuit in 8 pin NSOIC package. This supervisory circuit reduces the complexity and number of components required to monitor power supply and battery functions in µP systems. It significantly improves system reliability and accuracy compared to separate ICs or discrete components. The MAX705 provides a reset output during power-up, power-down and brownout conditions. An independent watchdog output that goes low if watchdog input has not been toggled within 1.6seconds. The device also provides 1.25V threshold detector for power fail warning, low battery detection or for monitoring a power supply other than +5V. It is used in computers, controllers, intelligent instruments and critical µP power monitoring applications.
Supply voltage range from 1V to 5.5V
Operating temperature range from 0°C to 70°C
Supervisory function integration significantly improves system reliability & reduces board space
Reset valid to VCC = 1V
Reset pulse width of 200ms and reset threshold voltage of 4.65V
Debounced TTL/CMOS compatible manual reset input
Active-low, push-pull reset output
Supply current is 150µA
